EVERYTHING is in bloom. Yesterday morning our yard boasted only a few crocuses. Today the forsythia and maple are in full swing, the apple tree has leafed out, and every brown stalk in sight has tender bright green flecks all over. We have leaped from winter to summer overnight. Everyone is out until nine pm (it is school vacation week), walking and playing in t-shirts and shorts. The winter boots have been swiftly traded for sandals. The hills in view of our upstairs window, once brown, are now flushed red, pink, orange, yellow, green. It's amazing what two days of 70 degree weather can do.Josie is loving a life without three layers of clothing. A diaper and onesie suits her just fine. Jasper found his old speedo flip flops from last year and is refusing to wear anything else. The windows are open, the grass is returning, the porch has become our dining room.
Ahh!
Peter and I worked on painting the sibling room last night. We are still a few weeks away from moving in, but it is looking better every day. Amazing what a coat of paint can do for the soul.
