Weekend Whoas

Saturday morning we began to reclaim our house and lives from the hectic holiday (and primary) schedule. Peter and Jasper did some "projects" around the house. We finally put away the 0 - 3 month clothes, and got out the 6 - 9 month boxes from the attic. Josie has already outgrown most of the 3 - 6 month outfits. Sadly, we have missed entire wardrobes.

Saturday afternoon we drove up to Tuftonborough to hang out with the Hipples in their new home. It's about an hour away through scenic lake country, so I imagine we will be visiting often. They have a stunning view of the Ossipee Mountains out their back window, tons of space, and a resident moose. Jasper was tremulously excited to see Tn'J. He repeated, "Mama, it's hard!" in the back seat most of the way, meaning "it's hard to wait." (Actually, he usually says, "I'm so hard," but we know what he means.) When we did finally arrive, the kids raged until nearly 10 pm, we all feasted on salmon, and Peter's team kicked my team's butt in Pictionary. Another wild night on the country in northern New England. Jasper had his first "sleep over party," sprawling half naked with Jackson and Tasha on Tasha's bedroom floor, and not waking up until after 7 in the morning. There are many good times ahead for that crew, I am sure. They are ready to envelope Josie into the fray as soon as she is a tad more independent.
