Still Hope

3% doesn't determine anything. We still have hope for a strong Obama victory in November! We have spent several days shuttling volunteers, housing volunteers, knocking on doors, standing at the polls and on street corners, making phone calls, and talking to anyone who will listen. On Monday night we waited for an hour and half in the cold to see him speak at 11 pm. The gym was packed, energetic, optimistic. Every one was "fired up," and it really felt like a secure win was upon us. Yesterday NH cast their votes, and Hillary beat Barack 39% to 36% of the vote. We are proud to say that in our ward and city, Barack won securely, so our efforts were not all for naught. We are pretty exhausted and ready to move on to more mundane pursuits, but will hopefully stay involved in some way.
