Our big girl is growing and changing every day! She holds her head up well and is happiest when "sitting up" and looking around. She is most often smiling and has started giggling and babbling during our conversations. She continues to nurse often, and is not so willing to sleep through anything, so we have finally set up a couple of cribs for her to nap in. She is awake much of the day and is definitely keyed into the action, of which there is plenty.
Jasper has started to notice that she may actually be an active agent in his life and expressed his first annoyance with her yesterday (she grabbed his shirt and wouldn't let go). I am trying to nurture the relationship by allowing them to cuddle at nap time as well as in the morning, and by telling "Jasper and Josie" stories in which the dynamic duo fearlessly encounter Yeti and witches and ghosts under the rather neglectful watch of their parents.
Today the dynamic duo is held up indoors, as the high temerature is expected to be 11. Pablo came over to play and Jasper refused to take off his Batman costum for the second day in a row. (That was either the best or worst 12$ I've ever spent.)
