While I was unpacking groceries today, Jasper went upstairs, retrieved his stool (the kind you stand on, not the kind you poop) from the bathroom, set it up next to Josie's crib, and climbed in with her. I found them a few minutes later, everyone content and smiling, Jasper telling Josie a "story" and making the toy work for her. I left them to their sibling bliss, impressed and relieved. One minute later everyone was crying, but still I call it progress!
We went to Jasper's third swim lesson today, and then returned to the Y in the afternoon to practice. He is becoming quite confident in the water. Josie, so far, has been supportive of his efforts by passing out next to the lifeguard.
