Berkshire Best

We had a whirlwind weekend of culture in the Berkshires. Friday night Oma and Pop Pop babysat the little Js, while Peter and I joined my parents at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. We saw the Hofesh Shechter Company, which was thrillingly masculine. It made me understand my three year old boy a little bit better. Saturday we met up with Andrew, Karen and baby Sadie at Tanglewood for an open rehearsal followed by a swim at the Stockbridge Bowl. I made my way down to the Berkshire Choral Festival to hear mom (Meme) perform several moving choral pieces, while Peter and the kids returned to Tanglewood to hear Pop Pop sing. It was a delightful dilemma, having to choose between two grandparent performances. Sunday we relaxed at Peter's childhood home in South Hadley, swam at his childhood pool, visiting with his father, and returned home in time to host an impromptu barbecue for ten friends. As Jackson sadly reminded me when he arrived at our house, "The summer is almost half way over." Well, no one can claim we aren't making the most of it!
