Weekend Woes and Whoas

Bad news is: we have been a bit under the weather. The GI duress in the house has escalated. Peter now has it BAD, and Jasper continues to poop a variety of unfortunate consistencies several times a day. I have not progressed beyond stomach cramps, thank goodness, but I now have a cold. Or maybe its just that I feel SH***Y because there is so much S**T in the house. It is a very good argument for having fewer children. The less people, the less poop. I'm really glad we don't have pets.

Good news: the weather has been spectacular. Ben Siegel, Peter's dear friend from Deerfield, visited us from Chicago this weekend. He and Jasper hit it off famously and Ben taught him all of his fancy Kung Fu moves. After working on the sibling room, we took a magnificent hike up Monadnock. Jasper did a good deal of the hiking on his own, spurred on by a mysterious trail of M&Ms ("eminies" as he called them). It was a glorious relief to be out on the trail again. Josie especially loved the sunlight in the trees.

The room is done! OK, almost done. We need to clean up and move in... but the renovation is basically complete. Whew. Now on to the next home improvement project.
