Frozen Friends

We left early for our Boston weekend as a winter storm rolled in on Friday. The roads were a mess, but we arrived in one piece and ready for a night on the town. Oma and Pop Pop had a special "sleep over party" with Jasper, while Peter, Josie and I went out with friends Jeff and Liz. The next day we hung out with Oma and Pop Pop in the morning and then spent time with friends Regan, Ben and and baby Nia (and, most importantly, dog Otter). After a relaxing afternoon of playing at the park and watching the trains on the Orange line, we headed home. Jasper went without sufficient sleep (still figuring out the nap schedule), but held it together and had a great time.

Today we loaded up the car again and headed out to Bear Brook State Park to see friends Tim and Joanie. We had a spectacular three hour ski beneath stunning blue skies. Jasper and Josie cooperated famously. Jasper wanted to ski on his own the entire time, but agreed to be pulled in the sled, allowing Peter to get in a great work out. We stopped for snacks at the shelter on Smith Pond. We cheered for/ jeered at the snow mobiles. We talked about spring and summer and how we have almost made it through the dark.
