Day 1: Peter took Josie apple picking this morning while Jasper went to school. I had a training after work until five, then returned home for a quick supper before heading out to my first meeting of the Library Board of Trustees (what the heck was I thinking when I joined the board?!). Everything was interesting and exhausting and I only saw the kids for an hour and I just want to crawl under a rock and hibernate. There will be better days. The good news is we had an amazing roast kitchen, the house is spotless and Peter is doing the dishes. Wow. If Peter doesn't go totally stir crazy by the end of the week, we can declare this arrangement a good (temporary) thing.
