Spending Daylight

This has been the most delicious end to daylight savings. Everyone slept past 7, and we ate supper before it got dark. We were also blessed by a relatively snow free weekend, though there were a few flurries and frigid temperatures today. Never mind. There is light at the end of the season.

On Friday night we had a kind-of-date (ie Josie came, too). Megan babysat for the second time. There were no tears and Jasper actually asked us to leave. Breakthrough! We had a mediocre beer and saw a mediocre movie, but it was well worth the 50 bucks or so we shelled out for the experience. Just the understanding that we CAN go out drastically improves our quality of life.

Brooke visited from Mississippi today. It was great to catch up and spend a slow, relaxed day of not much. She had a great photo shoot with the kids once she learned that you just can't tell Jasper to "smile" and expect photogenic results.
