"The Runny Babbit brought it!"

We had a very satisfying Easter Sunday. Jasper found the baskets with some prompting. Then he joined me for the service at the UCC church, while Josie and Peter napped and cleaned. He kept asking, "What's gonna happen next mama?" and talked through the entire sermon. "Did Jesus climb the wall, Mama?" "Did God die, mama?" We talked about Jesus on the way home, the dying and going up to be near God, and God be everywhere and in everything. "You're kidding," he said. The Easter bunny laying eggs and bringing baskets, no problem. But resurrection? Yeah, right! He looked very sharp in his Aunt Susie's pin striped white suit, but we didn't get a picture before he peed in his pants.

Then we headed out to Tuftonboro for a Hipple holiday. The kids hunted for eggs in three feet of snow. It's not an egg hunt until everyone cries, but this year was slightly less wrought with conflict. The kids raged on sugar while we relaxed with Sarah and Ethan and their folks. Not the trip to the tropics we were craving, but it truly hit the spot.
