We are in the midst of another winter storm, this one with 20 mph winds and promises of sleet in the afternoon. We look forward to shoveling our driveway again tomorrow. Especially Jasper, who spends more time IN the shovel, than behind it (in this picture he and Kaleigh are enjoying the ride). Our neighbor Marshall Scott graciously offered to snow blow the last six inches, but with a winter like this I don't think we can expect him to be so generous every other day (he is 71, an avid smoker, and has better things to do, after all).
Thankfully the weather held off long enough for the Hipples to move into their new home in Tuftonborough yesterday. Peter and about a dozen other friends spent the entire day packing, lifting, sorting, shoving boxes into the moving truck and out again into a beautiful four bedroom, two kitchen, spectacular view red shingled house about three minutes from the public school and center Tuftonborough. I had the esteemed job of taking care of the kids, and Gram (Sarah's 87 year old grandmother) while the other adults busted their butts. We sled, watched a movie, ate hot dogs, and played with walkie-talkies. It was great having Gram here to appease the periodic squabbles and tears, and to keep me company. The kids and I joined the moving party in Tuftonborough for the afternoon. To celebrate the move we all went out for Chinese food, and Jasper now has a new "Chinese Advent Calendar" with panda's on it as a souvenier of the day.
