We followed Peter on a field trip to Gap Mountain this weekend. He and a colleague led about a dozen Forest Society members on a short hike up to stunning views of Mt. Monadnock on a rare sunny day. It has been raining, storming, most days. Two people have died from tornadoes and flash floods in our area in the past two weeks. But Saturday was stunning. Jasper hiked the entire way, hiding with his nine-year-old friend, Walker, along the way and jumping out the scare the entourage every 100 yards or so. We feasted on blueberries at the top. I hope we are sick of blueberries when the season ends.Can you find Jasper in this picture?
