Josie Loves Bach

Josie loves to dance in the mornings, especially to Bach. This morning Peter put on the Pandora "classical" radio station and some other composer came on. Jasper protested until we fixed the error.

Day care continues. The first question Jasper asks every morning is, "Is it a school day?" When we say yes he is disappointed and says, "I don't want to go to school." But by the time we get dressed and have breakfast, he is urging us to hurry up "Or we'll be late for school!" We don't know too much about what he does there, except for the vague and scattered details from stories, such as "Today I was counting like this, "onetwothreefourfivesixseveneightnineteneleventhirteensixteenfourteenfifteen,"and the girl got mad at me. " Or, "I ate three oreos today!"I'm not sure why they serve oreos to the preschoolers, but he is happy to go and happy when we pick him up, and so we assume good things are happening there. He is generally more relaxed, helpful and happy at home. Josie, on the other hand, has had a bit of a personality shift. Our placid baby who took everything in stride and demanded little from the perfect world, has become more edgy. She fusses more easily and LOUDLY. When she is upset or doesn't get instant gratification (usually regarding food), she belts out a three alarm wail and starts biting anything she can get her teeth on (flesh is preferred, but clothing will do). This adjustment has been hardest on her, but hopefully in time she will mellow back into her flow.
