Sprung

Everything is in full bloom. Spring is here to stay (despite dumping two feet of snow on Vermont last week) and we are more than happy to receive her. Unfortunately, little Josie seems to have some serious allergies. She has been miserable since we left DC. Puffy eyes, drippy nose, cough, lethargic, a mess. Some homeopathy from friends and local honey may have helped. We also have cut out dairy, upon homeopathic friend's suggestion. The rest of us are enjoying the flowers and warm weather. I spent most of the weekend in my classroom (after losing two days of work to a droopy little girl who needed to be held), while Peter took the kids on a 13 mile bike ride one day and a three mile hike the next. Jasper pedaled and walked both days, Josie slept off her congestion. So now vacation draws to a close. We enter the final stretch of school and hope that the future reveals itself to us in good measure. The sooner the better, as far as we're concerned. But we are practicing patience... and trying to enjoy all that spring in New Hampshire has to offer.
