Catch up: Spring

Last weekend Scott joined us for a foray into the flood waters. We drove two minutes to the banks of the Merrimack and put in our canoes with caution. Winds were gusting up to 40 mph. The water was high and fast. Miraculously, once we were on the water in the lea of the western bank the river was tame, allowing us to meander among the trees on the floodplain, stopping once to harvest fiddle heads for dinner. You gotta love New England, even in April!
