Josie alone has been well and in good spirits. She thinks this illness is better than vacation. She gets to play with all the toys, can wear her jammies all day if she wants (who has the energy to fight her?), and eats pizza for every meal. She got the flu vaccine yesterday, so there is hope (but no assurance) that she will skirt the Virus that is so rampant in Concord. By some miracle.
This Sickness has compounded our general anxiety around weighing life in NH vs. life in MA. We still do not know if we have a decision to make (Peter proposed starting part time in March, and the department is considering it), but if we do, wouldn't it be good to have family support a bit closer? It has been painfully clear how isolated we are. If I can gotten sick, if we were all sick, as sick as Jasper, what would we have done? It didn't feel like there was anyone we could legitimately call on for such a crisis. If we were near Peter's folks we might still hesitate to ask for help, but in a real pinch blood is thicker than cough syrup.
